Material Protection by Green Corrosion Inhibitors
Research is conducted to find a substitution for toxic commercial inhibitors. For this purpose, the tests are carried out with various environmentally acceptable compounds such as imidazole derivatives. The efficacy of the inhibitors is investigated for the purpose of application in the protection of metals in acids, sewater water, cooling waters as well for the protection of bronze cultural heritage from atmospheric corrosion. Concrete reinforcement and oilfield inhibitor efficacy tests are also carried out.
